This was just a little thing I dashed off in under an hour – it's no froggin' Jane Austen, but wtf.

I don't know, honestly… It seems to be missing something in the tone of the piece or something. (I hope you know what I mean…)
I like the story and the twist at the end – very nice! – but… it needs tweaking. (In my opinion – your mileage may vary)

Sorry, Cathy, I don't get what you mean. Do you mean the way the piece was stylized into one voice?

No – I don't think that's it, exactly… I do like the style – I thought that was a rather nice touch.
Perhaps… it seems a bit rushed. Maybe guide us a bit more gently into the story. Take a bit more time and draw it out a bit.
(but again, this is just my opinion. Perhaps others would prefer it the way it is.
